Zechariah 8:14-23 NKJV
Zechariah 8:14-23 For thus says the LORD of hosts; 'Just as I determined to punish you When your fathers provoked Me to wrath,' Says the LORD of hosts, 'And I would not relent,
So again in these days I am determined to do good To Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear,
These are the things you shall do; Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates from truth, justice, and peace;
Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; And do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate,' Says the LORD."
Then the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,
"Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'The fast of the fourth month, The fast of the fifth, The fast of the seventh, And the fast of the tenth, Shall be joy and gladness and cheerful feasts For the house of Judah. Therefore l0ve truth and peace.'
"Thus says the LORD of hosts: 'Peoples shall yet come, Inhabitants of many cities;
The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, "Let us continue to go and pray before the LORD, And seek the LORD of hosts. I myself will go also."
Yes, many peoples and strong nations Shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, And to pray before the LORD.'
"Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.''"
Proverbs 3:19-35 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens;
By His knowledge the depths were broken up, And clouds drop down the dew.
My son, let them not depart from your eyes--Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
So they will be life to your soul And grace to your neck.
Then you will walk safely in your way, And your foot will not stumble.
When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so.
Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it," When you have it with you.
Do not devise evil against your neighbor, For he dwells by you for safety's sake.
Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm.
Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways;
For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, But His secret counsel is with the upright.
The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, But He blessed the home of the just,
Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble.
The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools.
