Zechariah 9:1-13 NKJV
Zechariah 9:1-13 The burden of the word of the LORD against the land of Hadrach, And Damascus its resting place (For the eyes of men And all the tribes of Israel Are on the LORD);
Also against Hamath, which borders on it, And against Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.
For Tyre built herself a tower, Heaped up silver like the dust, And gold like the mire of the streets,
Behold, the Lord will cast her out; He will destroy her power in the sea, And she will be devoured by fire.
Ashkelon shall see it and fear; Gaza also shall be very sorrowful; And Ekron for He dried up her expectation. The king shall perish from Gaza, And Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
"A mixed race shall settle in Ashdod, And I will cut off the pride of the Philistines,
I will take away the blood from his mouth, And the abominations for between his teeth. But he who remains, even he shall be for our God, And shall be like a leader in Judah, And Ekron like a Jebusite.
I will camp around My house Because of the army, Because of him who pass by and him who returns. No more shall an oppressor pass through them, For now I have seen with My eyes.
"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey.
I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim And the horse from Jerusalem; The battle bow shall be cut of. He shall speak peace to the nations; His dominion shall be 'from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.
"As for your also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.
Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope, Even today I declare That I will restore double to you.
For I have bent Judah, My bow, Fitted the bow with Ephraim, And raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, And made you like the sword of a mighty man."
Amos 1:6-8 Thus says the Lord; "For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment; Because they took captive the whole captivity To deliver them up to Edom.
But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, Which shall devour its palaces.
I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, And the one who holds the scepter from Ashkelon; I will turn My hand against Ekron, And the remnant of the Philistines shall perish," Says the Lord God.
Psalm 34:1-11 I WILL bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.
I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.
They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.
This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.
The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good things.
Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Isaiah 49:8-13 Thus says the LORD; "In an acceptable time I have heard You, And in the day of salvation I have helped You: I will preserve You and give You As a covenant to the people, To restore the earth, To cause them to inherit the desolate heritages;
That You may say to the prisoners, 'Go forth, 'To those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' "They shall feed along the roads, And their pastures shall be on all desolate heights.
They shall neither hunger nor thirst, Neither heat nor sun shall strike them; For He who has mercy on them will lead them, Even by the springs of water He will guide them.
I will make each of My mountains a road, And My highways shall be elevated.
Surely these shall come from afar; Look! Those from the north and the west, And these from the land of Sinim."
Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted.
