Amos 4:7-13 NKJV
Amos 4:7-13 "I also withheld rain from you, When there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, And where it did not rain the part withered.
So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, But they were not satisfied; Yet you have not returned to Me," says the LORD.
"I blasted you with blight and mildew. When your gardens increased, Your vineyards, Your fig trees, And your olive trees, The locust devoured them; Yet you have not returned to Me." Says the LORD.
"I sent among you a plague after the manner of Egypt; Your young men I killed with a sword, Along with your captive horses; I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me," Say the LORD.
"I overthrew some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning; Yet you have not returned to Me," Says the LORD.
"Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!"
For behold, He who forms mountains, And creates the wind, Who declared to man what his thought is, and makes the morning darkness, Who treads the high places of the earth--The LORD God of hosts is His name.
Hosea 2:16-20 "And it shall be, in that day," says the LORD, "That you will call Me 'My Husband, And no longer call Me 'My Master,'
For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals, And they shall be remembered by their name no more.
In that day I will make a covenant for them With the beasts of the field, With the birds of the air, And with the creeping things of the ground. Bow and sword of battle I will shatter from the earth, To make them lie down safely.
"I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy;
I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the LORD.
Psalm 78:40-55 How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, And grieved Him in the desert!
Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.
They did not remember His power; The day when he redeemed them from the enemy.
When He worked His signs in Egypt, And His wonders in the field of Zoan;
Turned their rivers into blood, And their streams, that they could not drink.
He sent swarms of flies among them, which devoured them, And frogs, which destroyed them.
He also gave their crops to the caterpillar, And their labor to the locust.
He destroyed their vines with hail, And their sycamore trees with frost.
He also gave up their cattle to the hail, and their flocks to fiery lightning.
He cast on them the fierceness of His anger, Wrath, indignation, and trouble, By sending angels of destruction among them.
He made a path for His anger; He did not spare their soul from death, But gave their life over to the plague.
And destroyed all the firstborn in Egypt, The first of their strength in the tents of Ham.
But He made His own people go forth like sheep, And guided them in the wilderness like a flock;
And He led them on safely, so they did not fear; But the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
And He brought them to His holy border, This mountain which His right hand had acquired.
He also drove out the nations before them. Allotted them an inheritance by survey, and made the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents.
Isaiah 13:19-22 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, Will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
It will never be inhabited, Nor will it be settled from generation to generation; Nor will the arabian pitch tents there, Nor will the shepherds make their sheepfolds there.
But wild beasts of the desert will be there, And their houses will be full of owls; Ostriches will dwell there, And wild goats will caper there.
The hyenas will howl in their citadels, and jackals in their pleasant palaces. Her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged."
Jeremiah 5:22 Do you not fear Me?' says the LORD. 'Will you not tremble at My presence, who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, Yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.

You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.
