Joel 2:15-19 NKJV
Joel 2:15-19 Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call the sacred assembly;
Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room.
Let the priests, who minister to the LORD, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, "Spare Your people, O LORD, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them, Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God?"
Then the LORD will be zealous for His land, And pity His people.
The LORD will answer and say to His people, "Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations.
Exodus 19:10-13 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.
"And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the LORD will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.
"You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, 'Take heed to yourselves that you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base. Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.
'Not a hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot with an arrow; whether man or beast, he shall not live.' When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come near the mountain."
Matthew 23:34-36 "Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city.
"that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
"Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.
Isaiah 60:10-12 'The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, And their kings shall minister to you; For in My wrath I struck you, But in My favor I have had mercy on you.
Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day or night, That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles,
For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, And those nations shall be utterly ruined.
