Haggai 1:1-15 NKJV

Haggai 1:1-15 In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Johozadak, the high priest, saying,

"Thus spend the Lord of hosts, saying; This people says, "The time has not come, The time that the Lord's house should be built.'"'

Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying,

"Is it time for you yourselves to dwell In your paneled houses, and this temple to lie on ruins?"

Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts; "Consider your ways!

"You have shown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; you drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes."

Thus says the Lord of hosts; "Consider your ways!

"Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified." Says the Lord.

"You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and you brought it home, I blew it away, Why? Says the Lord of hosts. "Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house.

"Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.

"For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the grounds brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands."

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the Lord.

Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, spoke the Lord's message to the people, saying, "I am with you, says the Lord."

So the Lord stirred  up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, and they came and worked on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God.

On the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month, in the second year of King Darius.

2 Samuel 7:1-9 Now it came to pass when the king was dwelling in his house, and the Lord  has given him rest from all his enemies all around.

that the king said to Nathan the prophet, "See now, I dwelling a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells inside tent curtains."

Then Nathan said to the king, "Go, do all that is on your heart, for the Lord is with you."

But it happened that night that the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,

"Go and tell My sevant David, and 'Thus says the Lord; "Would you build a house for Me to dwell in?

"For I have not dwelt in a house since the time that I brought the children of Israel up from Egypt, even to this say, but have moved about in a tent and on a tabernacle.

"Wherever I have moved about with all the children of Israel, have I ever spoken a word to anyone from the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people Israel, saying, 'Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?'"

"Now therfore, thus shall you say to My servant David, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts; "I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel.

"And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off allfr before you, and have made your enemies from before you, and have made you a great name, like the name of the great men who are on the earth.

Zechariah 8:10-13 For before these days There Were no wages for man nor any hire for beast; There was no peace from the enemy for whoever went out or came on; For I set all men, everyone, against his neighbor.

'But now I will not treat the remnant of his people as in the former days,' says the Lord of hosts.

For the seed shall be prosperous, The vine shall give its fruit, The ground ash all give her increase, And the heavens shall give their dew--I will cause the remnant of this people To possess all these.

And it shall come to pass That just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, So I will save you, and you shall be a blessing. Do not fear, Let your hands be strong.'
