John 1:43-51 NKJV
Isaiah 22:20-25 Then it shall be in that day, That I will call My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah;
I will clothe him with your robe And strengthen him with your belt; I will commit your responsibility into his hand. He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem And to the house of Judah.
The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; So he shall open, and no one shall shut; And he shall shut, and no one shall open.
I will fasten him as a peg in a secure place, And he will become a glorious throne to his father's house.
They will hang on him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the posterity, all vessels of small quantity, from the cups to all the pitchers,
'In that day, says the Lord of hosts, 'the peg that is fastened in the secure place will be removed and be cut down and fall, and the burden that was on it will be cut off; for the Lord has spoken.'"
Psalm 110:1-7 The Lord said to My Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."
The Lord shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!
Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.
The Lord has sworn And will not relent, "You area priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek."
The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.
He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries,
He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; Therefore, He shall lift up the head.
Hebrews 5:5-11 So also Christ did not glory Himself to become High Priest, but It was He who said to Him; 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You."
As He also says in another place; "You area priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek."
who, in the day of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,
though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
called by God as High Priest "according to the order of Melchizedek." of whom we have have to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
