Self-centeredness

There's this thing about all of us that we're all born into. It's called self-centeredness... It's all about us. We didn't just realize it. We were born into that. Yeah! Just like that.

It was what Adam got through his fall and it got transferred to us. What we're doing is that we're growing up trying to find ourselves along the way.

We got a lot of things going on when we were growing up and most of us didn't get half of the things we were needing and that becomes our identity. That starts to become our life. And that starts to form our personality, our dispositions and our emotions.

And these are the things we tell ourselves:
We need value.
We need support.
We need to know we matter.
We need to know somebody cares.
We need to feel important and noticed.

And yet, here's this amazing Jesus loving us just like that and expecting nothing in return and we've done nothing right to deserve the love. We have even done things that we were taught to never do. We've done things willfully. We have done things ignorantly. And yet, here's this Jesus hanging on a cross, giving his life, dying for me.

It is because of Jesus love that we are where we are today. Love is what excites me. I've past bible debates. What the bible says and what it didn't say; I've past all of that.
