John 3:22-36-John 4:1-26 NKJV

John 3:22-28 After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He remained with them and baptized.

Now John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there. And they came and were baptized.

For John had not yet been thrown into prison.

Then there arose a dispute between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purification.

And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified–behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!”

John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.

“You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’

1 Corinthians 1:14-17 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name.

Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other.

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

Genesis 33:18-20 Then Jacob came safely to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padan Aram; and he pitched his tent before the city.

And he bought the parcel of land, where he had pitched his tent, from the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for one hundred pieces of money.

Then he erected an altar there and called it El Elohe Israel.

Genesis 48:21-22 Then Israel said to Joseph, "Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you and bring you back to the land of your fathers.

"Moreover I have given to you one portion above your fathers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow."

John 7:37-39 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."

But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive, for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring;

Deuteronomy 12:5 "But you shall seek the place where the LORD your God chooses, out of all your tribes, to put His name fro His dwelling place; and there you shall go.
