When I, as a pastor, become a politician, how will it truly look? Some might say it means I have abandoned my sacred office. My Christians can walk into politics, but I, as a called servant of God, cannot trade my divine mandate for worldly ambition. A Christian can serve in politics and shine the light of truth, but when a pastor forgets his altar and replaces it with power, something sacred is lost. The call of God is higher than any political position. I may engage with leaders, speak truth to power, and influence nations, but my first loyalty remains to the kingdom of God, not the systems of men.
