John 6:60-71 NKJV

John 6:60-71 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, "This is a hard saying; who can understand it?"

When Jesus know in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, "Does this offend you?

"What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before?

"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

"But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.

And He said, "Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father."

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.

Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?"

But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

"Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

Jesus answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?"

He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.

Acts 1:6-11 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom of Israel?"

And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times of seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,

who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

Acts 2:29-33 "Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

"Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to he flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

"he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.

"This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

"Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

John 14:22-24 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?"

Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

"He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6 And we have such trust through Christ toward God.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,

who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
