Isaiah 55:11 That's how it is with my words. They don't return to me without doing everything I send them to do."
2 Timothy 3:16-17 Everything in the Scriptures is God's word. All of it is useful for teaching and helping people and for correcting them and showing them how to live.
The Scriptures train God's servants, to do all kinds of good deeds [All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works, KJV].
2 Peter 1:19-21 All of this makes us even more certain that what the prophets said is true. So you should pay close attention to their message, as you would to a lamp shining in some dark place. You must keep on paying attention until daylight comes and the morning star rises in your hearts.
But you need to realize that no one alone can understand any of the prophecies in the Scriptures.
The prophets did not think these things up on their own, but they were guided by the Spirit of God.
How to hear and understand the Gospel
From Out of a Storm
Job 38:1-3 From out of a storm, the Lord said to Iob [Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind, NLT]:
Why do you talk so much when you know so little?
Now get ready to face me! Can you answer the questions I ask?
Job 40:6-7 Then out of the storm the Lord said to Iob:
Face me and answer the questions I ask!
Job 42:4-7 You told me to listen and answer your questions.
I heard about you from others; now I have seen you with my own eyes.
That's why I hate myself and sit here in dust and ashes to show my sorrow [I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance, NLT].
The Lord Corrects Job's Friends
The Lord said to Eliphaz: What my servant Iob has said about me is true, but I am angry with you and your two friends for not telling the truth.
Romans 10:14-17 How can people have faith in the Lord and ask him to save them, if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear; unless someone tells them?
And how can anyone tell them without being seat by the Lord? The Scriptures sat it is a beautiful sight to see even the feet of someone coming to preach the good news.
Yet not everyone has believed the message. For example, the prophet Isaiah asked, "Lord, has anyone believed what we said?"
No one can have faith without hearing the message about Christ."
Acts 26:17-18 The Lord also said, "I will protect you from the Jews and from the Gentiles that I am sending you to;
I want you to open their eyes, so they will turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then their sins will be forgiven, and by faith in me they will become part of God's holy people."
Romans 15:4-7 And the Scriptures were written to teach and encourage us by giving us hope.
God is the one who makes us patient and cheerful. I pray that he will help you live at peace with each other [help you live in complete harmony with each other, NLT], as you follow Christ.
Then all of you together will praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Good News is for Jews and Gentiles
Honor God by accepting each other, as Christ has accepted you.
