Giving with a Willing Heart

Scripture

Numbers 7:5 (NKJV)
Accept these from them, that they may be used in doing the work of the tabernacle of meeting, and you shall give them to the Levites, to every man according to his service.


Generosity in God’s Work

In this verse, the leaders of Israel brought offerings to the Lord—carts and oxen to assist in carrying the tabernacle. God told Moses to accept these gifts and distribute them to the Levites, each according to their responsibility. The people gave not out of obligation but out of gratitude and partnership in God’s work.

For believers today, this verse reminds us that God delights in willing and purposeful giving. Our resources—time, talents, and possessions—are not ours to keep but tools to serve His kingdom. When we give from the heart, God uses our gifts to build, bless, and carry His work forward.

This passage shows that every contribution matters. Whether large or small, when offered to God, it becomes holy and fruitful in His hands.
