Good morning, everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
Yesterday, I asked my pastor if he was spying on me. That his last two messages that I attended were aimed right at my forehead. We laughed and talked a bit. Yesterday was a bit odder because a good friend came over to finish the insulation in the shed, and as we were talking, he made a comment that my pastor used. We go to two entirely different churches, denominations, and miles apart. So, unless our pastors were each wearing spyware ear buds…that was a God thing.
It was a good writing day yesterday; I knocked out almost 5000 words. This brings me up to 38k plus on my novel. To meet the requirement of one challenge and get a 50k story written in 30 days…looks like a real possibility. Especially if He keeps giving me words like He did yesterday. Add to this, the prompts for this week’s competition are in. The object and the person/character are fine… but I cannot wrap my mind around the genre. I can see stories in the other three, so I will probably redraw that piece and run with it. This competition is a 2000-word story.
The shed has proven to be a bit more challenging, however, with the great help of some amazing family and friends, we are ready to put the walls up, carpet can go down, and the solar panels can go up. After those two items, the furniture, and then I can escape into my wilderness retreat for inspiration.
This weekend was an amazing experience. I received the comfort I didn’t even realize that I needed from my grandkids and kids. I received the expertise and muscles of friends to put up all the insulation, finish the outlets, and put up the ceiling. I received a message that was confirmed by a good friend. The Holy Spirit filled my fingertips with words to present in this story. A solid night’s sleep that ended with a wrestling match with the phone to shut off the alarm and a peace about today that surpasses all understanding. It does not get any better than that.
My coffee is hot. My mind is clear. I know that going to work that I will be busy and that makes for a quick day. I am still a clerk, so that means … as long as MY job is done at 5 … I am going home at 5.
Today is a beautiful day. Will you join me in enjoying the presence of the one true King…Jesus Christ? Embrace His Love and Peace. See only him and relax in the mercy and grace of Him who loves you more.
Be blessed today my friends.
