THE ADVENT TRUTH
False teachers love the spotlight but not the souls. They crave views, applause, and offerings — not repentance, truth, or transformation. They speak smooth things because it keeps people comfortable and keeps the money flowing (Isaiah 30:10). But comfort without conviction leads straight to destruction.
Jesus called them “blind guides” (Matthew 15:14). A blind man leading another blind man doesn’t care if they both fall into the ditch — as long as he gets to lead. Paul warned that after his departure, grievous wolves would enter in, not sparing the flock (Acts 20:29). Wolves don’t love sheep; they feed on them.
These false teachers exploit the name of Christ for profit, promising blessings without obedience, salvation without surrender, and heaven without holiness. They know the truth would drive away the crowds, so they offer substitutes that please the flesh and silence the conscience. And when their followers fall into sin, confusion, or despair — they move on to the next audience, never looking back.
Peter said, “Through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you” (2 Peter 2:3). That’s not love — that’s spiritual trafficking. A true shepherd would leave the ninety-nine to save one lost soul; a false shepherd leaves the one to keep the ninety-nine entertained.
If you’ve been deceived, remember this: Jesus still loves you. The scars of false religion can heal when you return to the Word of God. Test every spirit. Compare every message with Scripture. Truth doesn’t fear investigation.
Because the real Shepherd doesn’t sell you lies — He lays down His life for you.
