Shining God’s Light

Scripture

Numbers 8:2 (NKJV)
Speak to Aaron, and say to him, When you arrange the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.


Be a Light That Points Forward

In this verse, God commands Aaron to arrange the lamps in the tabernacle so that their light shines forward. This was not random—it symbolized the light of God’s presence illuminating the path of His people. The lampstand and its light reminded Israel that God was with them, guiding them in every step and dispelling darkness.

For believers today, this verse calls us to reflect that same light. Jesus said that we are the light of the world. Our purpose is not to draw attention to ourselves but to direct light toward God—to shine in such a way that others see His truth, love, and hope through us. When we live in obedience and purity, our lives become a reflection of His presence.

This verse challenges us to be intentional in how we shine—to let our words, actions, and character light the way toward Christ.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for calling me to be a light in this world. Fill me with Your Spirit so that my life reflects Your truth and love. Let my words and actions shine brightly, guiding others toward You. In Jesus name, Amen.
