Ecclesiastes 1:5-11 NKJV

Jeremiah 5:20-22 "Decalair this in the house of Jacob And proclaim it in Judah, saying,

'Hear this now, O foolish people, Without understanding, Who has eyes and see not, And who has ears and hear not;

Do you not fear Me?' says the LORD. 'Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.

Proverbs 27:18-22 Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit; So he who waits on his master will be honored.

As in water face reflects face, So a man's heart reveals the man.

Hell and Destruction are never full; So the eyes of man are never satisfied.

The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, And a man is valued by what others say of him.

Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain, Yet his foolishness will not depart from him.

Ecclesiastes 3:9-15 What profit has the worker from that in which he labors?

I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work of God does from beginning to end.

I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives,

and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor-it is the gift of God.

I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it. God does it, that men should fear before Him.

That which is has already been, And what is to be has already been; And God requires an account of what is past.

Ecclesiastes 2:12-17 Then I turned myself to consider wisdom and madness and folly; For what can the man do who succeeds the king?-- Only what he has already done.

Then I saw that wisdom excels folly As light excels darkness.

The wise man's eyes are are in his head, But the fool walks in darkness. Yet I myself perceived That the same event happens to them all.

So I said in my heart, "As it happens to the fool, It also happens to me, And why was I then more wise?" Then I said in my heart, "This also is vanity."

For there is no more remembrance of  the wise than the fool forever, Since all that now is will be forgotten in the days to come. And how does a wise man die? As the fool!

Therefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind.
