Topic: When Some Friends Become Your Mistake
Scripture:
“Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good character.”
1 Corinthians 15:33
Insight:
The people you surround yourself with can either strengthen your walk with God or quietly weaken it. Many times, those we call friends or well-wishers may not truly mean well for us. In calm seasons, their presence may seem comforting, but when life happens, their true nature is revealed.
Reflection:
It is a very terrible thing when you are surrounded by the wrong people as friends and well-wishers. When trials arise, when pain knocks at your door, or when life turns in unexpected ways — that is when you realize your greatest mistake of keeping them close. Some will withdraw their loyalty, some will rejoice at your fall, and some will simply walk away.
This is why divine discernment is vital. God never designed everyone to walk your journey with you. Some people are lessons, not companions. Let God lead you to those who love sincerely, stand truthfully, and build your faith rather than drain it.
Prayer:
Lord, give me the wisdom to discern true friends from false ones. Separate me from wrong associations that hinder my peace and purpose. Surround me with people who strengthen my faith and align me with Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reality:
When some friends become your mistake, let it be your lesson — not your bitterness.
