13 Problems With Pork
The world says, “It’s just food.” But God says, “Be holy, for I am holy.” (Leviticus 11:44) Before you take another bite of bacon, here’s what science and Scripture agree on—pork isn’t meant for the human body.
A pig is nature’s garbage disposal. It eats anything—dead animals, feces, even cancerous growths. The meat and fat absorb toxins like a sponge, and pigs don’t sweat to release them. That means every toxin, parasite, and disease remains trapped in the flesh that ends up on the plate. Pigs carry over 30 diseases that can pass to humans, including trichinosis—a worm that burrows into muscle and brain tissue. No amount of cooking can guarantee these parasites are destroyed.
God knew what He was doing when He said:
“And the swine… though he divide the hoof and be cloven-footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.”
Leviticus 11:7 / Deuteronomy 14:8
Scripture doesn’t call pork “unclean” because of Jewish custom—it’s unclean by divine design. Isaiah 65:3–4 shows God’s people angering Him by eating swine’s flesh, and Isaiah 66:15–17 warns that those who continue in it will face judgment when Christ returns. This isn’t about diet—it’s about obedience.
The devil loves to disguise disobedience as “freedom.” But God’s Word defines what is good for us. 1 Timothy 4:4–5 doesn’t cancel God’s law—it says food is sanctified by the Word of God and prayer. And the Word of God clearly declares pork unclean.
Every law God gave—even the health laws—was born out of love. He cares about your body, your mind, and your soul. So next time you’re tempted to say, “It’s just food,” remember: the same God who made your body also wrote the Owner’s Manual.
Choose holiness over appetite. Choose life over taste. Choose obedience over tradition.
Glorify God in your body—because your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
(1 Corinthians 6:19–20)
