1 Kings 18:17-24 NKJV

1 Kings 18:17-24 Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him. "Is that you, O troubler of Israel?"

And he answered, "I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the LORD and have followed the Baals.

"Now therefore, send and gather all Israel to me on Mount Carmel, the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal, and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel's table."

So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel.

And Elijah came to all the people, and said, "How long will you falter between tow opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him," But the people answered him not a word.

Then Elijah said to the people, "I alone am left a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

"Therefore let them give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it; and I will prepare the other bull, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it.

"Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD; and the God who answers by fire, He is God." So all the people answered and said, "It is well spoken."

1 Kings 16:29-33 In the thirty-eight year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri became king over Israel, and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.

Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD, more than all who were before him.

And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshipped him.

Then he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.

And Ahab made a wooden image. Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.

2 Chronicles 15:1-4 Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him, "Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin, The LORD is with you while you are with Him, if you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

"For a long time Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law;

"but when in their trouble they turned to the LORD God of Israel, and sought Him. He was found by them.

Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

1 Kings 22:5-10 Also Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "Please inquire for the word of the LORD today."

Then the king of of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, "Shall I go against Ramoth Gilead to fight, or shall I refrain?" So they said, "Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king."

And Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not still a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of Him?"

So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil." And Jehoshaphat said, "Let not the king say such things!"

Then the king of Israel called an officer and said, "Bring Micaiah the son of Imlah quickly!"

The king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, having put on their robes, sat each on his throne, at a threshing floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made horns of iron for himself; and he said, "Thus says the LORD; 'With these you shall gore the Syrians until they are destroyed.'"

And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, "Go up to Ramoth Gilead and prosper, for the LORD will deliver it into the king's hand."
