2 Samuel 22:1-13 NKJV
2 Samuel 22:1-13 Then David spoke to the LORD the words of this song, on the day when the LORD had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul.
And he said; "The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
"When the waves of death surrounded me, The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry entered His ears.
"Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations of heaven quaked and were shaken, Because He was angry.
Smoke went up from His nostrils; And devouring fire from His mouth; Coals were kindled by it,
He bowed the heavens also, and came down With darkness under His feet.
He rode upon a cherub, and flew; And He was seen upon the wings of the wind.
He made darkness canopes around Him, Dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
From the brightness before Him Coals of fire were kindled.
Exodus 15:1-10 Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying; "I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!
The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father's God, and I will exalt Him.
The LORD is a man of war; The LORD is His name.
Pharaoh's chariots and His army He has cast into the sea: His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.
The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone.
"Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces.
and in the greatness of Your excellence You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth your wrath; It consumed then like stumble.
And with the blast of Your nostrils The waters were gathered together; The floods stood upright like a heap; The depths congealed in the heart of the sea.
The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them;
You blew with Your wind, The sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
