2 Samuel 22:36-46 NKJV
2 Samuel 22:36-46 "You have also given to me the shield of Your salvation; Your gentleness has made me great.
You enlarged my path under me; So my feet did not slip.
"I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed.
And I have destroyed them and wounded them, So that they could not rise; They have fallen under my feet.
For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose against me.
You have also given me the necks of my enemies, So that that I destroyed those who hated me.
They looked, but there was none to save; Even to the LORD, but He did not answer them.
Then I beat them as fine as the dust of the earth; I trod them like dirt in the streets, And I spread them out.
You have also delivered me from the strivings of my people; You have kept kept me as the head of the nations. A people I have not known shall serve me.
The foreigners submit to me; As soon as they hear, they obey me.
The foreigners fade away, And come frightened from their hideouts.
Malachi 4:1-6 "For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the LORD of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch.
But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healings in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.
You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this," Says the LORD of hosts.
"Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgements.
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse."
Genesis 49:8-9 "Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father's children shall bow down before you.
Judah is a lion's whelp; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He bows down, he lies down as a lion; And as lion, who shall rouse him?
Proverbs 1:28-33 "Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the LORD.
They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke.
Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them;
But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil."
2 Samuel 3:1 Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.
1 Samuel 14:11-14 So both of them showed themselves to the garrison of the Philistines. And the Philistines said, "Look, the Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they have hidden."
Then the men of the garrison called to Jonathan and his armor-bearer, and said, "Come up to us, and we will show you something." Jonathan said to his armorbearer, "Come up after me, for the LORD has delivered them into the hand of Israel."
And Jonathan climbed up on his hands and knees with his armor-bearer after him; and they fell before Jonathan. And as he came after him, his armorbearer killed them.
That first slaughter which Jonathan and his armorbearer made was about twenty men within about half an acre of land.
