Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me void, but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent it.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired of God and is useful for teaching--for reproof, correction, and training in holiness

so that the man of God may be fully competent and equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:19-21 Besides, we possess the prophetic message as something altogether reliable. Keep your attention closely fixed on it, as your would on a lamp shinning in a dark place until the first streaks of dawn appear and the morning star rises in your hearts.

The Nature of Prophecy

First you must understand this; there is no prophesy contained in Scripture which is a personal interpretation.

Prophesy has never been put forward by man's willing it. It is rather that men impelled by the Holy Spirit have spoken under God's influence.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

VII: The LORD'S Speech

Job 38:1-3 THEN THE LORD ADDRESSED JOB out of the storm and said:

Who is this that obscures divine plans with words of ignorance?

Gird up your loins now, like a man; I will question you, and you tell me the answers!

Job 40:6-7 Then the LORD addressed Job out of the storm and said:

Gird up your loins now, like a man. I will question you, and you tell me the Answers!

Job 42:3-7 (no Verse 4) I have dealt with great things that I do not understand; things too wonderful for me, which I cannot know.

I had heard of you by word of mouth, but now my eye has seen you.

Therefore I disown what I have said, and repent in dust and ashes.

VIII: Epilogue

Job's Restoration

AND IT CAME TO PASS after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "I am angry with you and with your two friends; for you have not spoken rightly concerning me, as has my servant Job.

Romans 10:14-17 But how shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can the believe unless they have heard of him? And how can they hear unless there is someone to preach?

And how can men preach unless they are sent? Scripture says, "How beautiful are the feet of those who announce good news!"

But not all have believed the gospel. Isaiah asks, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?"

Faith, then, comes through hearing, and what is heard is the word of Christ.

Acts 26:17-18 I have delivered you from this people and from the nations,

to open the eyes of those to whom I am sending you, to turn them from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God; that through their faith in me they may obtain the forgiveness of their sins and a portion among God's people.'

Romans 15:4-7 Everything written before our time was written for our instruction, that we might derive hope from the lessons of patience and the words of encouragement in the Scriptures.

May God, the source of all patience and encouragement, enable you to live in perfect harmony with one another according to the spirit of Christ Jesus,

so that with one heart and voice you may glorify God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God's Fidelity and Mercy

Accept one another, then, as Christ accepted you, for the glory of God.
