To Lose is Gain NKJV
Matthew 10:39-40 "He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives Him who sent me.
Matthew 16:24-28 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it,
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then he will reward each according to his works.
"Assuredly, I say to you, there some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming into His Kingdom."
1 Timothy 6:6-10 Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown man in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Hebrews 13:5-6 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For he himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.
So we may boldly say. The Lord is my helper, I will not fear, who can man do to me.
Job 1:21 And he said, naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I shall return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Philippians 4:11-13 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am to be content.
I know how to be abased, and I know to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
