Jeremiah 25:6-7 'Do not go after other gods to serve them and worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands; and I will not harm you.'
"Yet you have not listened to Me," says the Lord, "that you might provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.
Isaiah 44:15-17 Then it shall be for a man to burn, For he will take some of it and warm himself; Yes, he kindles it and bakes bread; Indeed he makes a god and worships it; He makes it a carved image, and falls down to it.
He burns half of it in the fire; With this half he eats meat; He roasts a roast, and is satisfied. He even warms himself and says, "Ah, I am warm, I have seen the fire."
And the rest of it he makes into a god, His carved image. He falls down before it and worships it, Prays to it and says, "Deliver me, for you are my god!"
Deuteronomy 7:9-10 "Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;
"and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face.
Leviticus 19:11-12 'You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.
'And you shall not swear by My name falsely, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the Lord.
Genesis 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.
And on the seventh day God ended His work which he had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which god had created and made.
Matthew 15:1-9 Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying,
"Why do Your disciples transgress the traditions of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread."
He answered and said to them, "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?
"For God commanded, saying, 'Honor your father and your mother; and, 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.'
"But you say, 'Whoever says to his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift of God"--
'then he need not honor his father or mother. Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.
"Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying;
'These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me,
And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men,'"
Ephesians 6:2-3 "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with promise;
"that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."
