Hosea 1:1-11 NKJV
Hosea 1:1-11 THE word of the Lord that came to Hosea the son of Berri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham , Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
When the Lord began to speak to Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea; "Go take yourself a wife of harlotry And children of harlotry, For the land has committed great harlotry By departing from the Lord."
So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.
Then the Lord said to him;
"Call his name Jezreel, For in a little while I will avenge the bloodshed of Jezreel on th house of Jehu, And bring an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel,
It shall come to pass in that day That I will break the bow of Israel in the Valley of Jezreel."
And she conceived again and bore a daughter, Then God said to him; "Call her name Lo-Ruhamah For I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, But I will utterly take them away.
Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, Will save them by the Lord their God, And will not save them by bow, Nor by sword or battle, By horses or horsemen."
Now when she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and bore a son,
The god said; "Call his name Lo-Ammi, For you are not My people, And I will not be your God,
Yet the number of the children of Israel Shall be as the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered, And it shall come to pass In the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people, There it shall be said to them, 'You are sons of the living God.'
Then the children of Judah and the children of Israel Shall be gathered together, And appoint for themselves one head; And they shall come up out of the land, For great will be the day of Jezreel!
2 Kings 10:9-11 So it was, in the morning, that he went out and stood, and said to all the people, "You are righteous, Indeed I conspired against my master and killed him; but who killed all these?
"Know now that nothing shall fall to the earth of the word of the Lord which the Lord spoke concerning the house of Ahab; for the Lord has done what He spoke by His servant Elijah."
So Jehu killed all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men and his close acquaintances and his priests, until he left him none remaining.
Amos 1:1-2 The words of Amos, who was among the sheepbreeders of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
And he said; "The Lord roars from Zion, and utters His voice from Jerusalem; The pastures of the shepherds mourn, And the top of Carmel withers."
2 Chronicles 27:1-9 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.
And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah had done (although he did not enter the temple of the Lord). But still the people acted corruptly.
He built the Upper Gate of the house of the Lord, and he built extensively on the wall of Ophel.
Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built fortresses and towers.
He also fought with the king of Ammonites and defeated them. And the people of Ammon gave him in that year one hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kors of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. the people of Ammon paid this to him in the second and third years also.
So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.
Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars and his ways , indeed they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
So Jotham rested with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. Then Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
2 Chronicles 28:1-4 Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not do what was right in the sight of the Lord, as his father David had done.
For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made molded images for the Baals.
He burned incense in the Valley of the son of Hinnom, and burned his children in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations of the nations whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
And he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.
2 Chronicles 29:1-2 Hezekiah became king when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Abijah the daughter of Zechariah.
And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father David has done.
2 Kings 13:13 So Joash rested with his fathers, Then Jeroboam sat on his throne, And Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
2 Kings 14:23-24 In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash, king of Judah, Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, became king of Samaria, and reigned forty-one years.
And he did evil in the sight of the Lord; he did not depart from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had made Israel sin.
