🌿 Righteousness and Wickedness Before God 🌿 Every human being stands at a crossroad in life. One path leads to righteousness, which brings us into God’s presence and blessing. The other path leads to wickedness, which ends in destruction and eternal separation from God. The Bible constantly reminds us to examine the path we are walking on, because our choices will determine our eternal destiny. 📖 Psalm 1:6 "For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish." What is Righteousness? Righteousness is not just about doing good deeds; it is about having a right and true relationship with God. It is the light that transforms our hearts and guides our steps. Righteousness comes through faith (Romans 3:22). Righteousness is revealed in living according to God’s Word. Righteousness is shown in love, justice, and mercy towards others. 📖 Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." 🌑 What is Wickedness? Wickedness is rebellion against God’s will. It is the way of sin that looks attractive for a moment but ends in death and destruction. Wickedness includes lies, hatred, injustice, and selfishness. Wickedness drives people away from God and closer to Satan. Wickedness may bring temporary pleasure but leads to eternal sorrow. 📖 Romans 6:21-22 "What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life." ⚖️ The Difference Between Righteousness and Wickedness Righteousness is light, wickedness is darkness. Righteousness brings blessing, wickedness brings curse. Righteousness produces peace and joy, wickedness produces fear and restlessness. The way of righteousness or the way of wickedness? Life and death, blessings and curses are set before us (Deuteronomy 30:19).
