IT’S TRULY NOT OVER!
From the eBook: “It’s Not Over”
By Rev. Ishmael Asare Bakae
Scripture Focus:
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
Life’s journey is not always smooth. There are valleys, storms, delays, and moments when it feels like the story has ended in disappointment. But the truth that echoes through every page of Scripture is this: God never ends on a negative note.
When God writes your story, He ensures that every painful chapter serves a redemptive purpose. What looks like a full stop is often a divine comma — a pause before the next move of His grace.
Beloved, if you are still breathing, it means heaven has not closed your case. You are still on God’s agenda. His promises are still valid. His power is still available. And His plan for your life is still unfolding.
1. God Is Not Finished with You
You may have lost something, but you haven’t lost everything. You may have fallen, but you can rise again. You may have cried, but joy is coming in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)
God is not finished with you. Every disappointment is a setup for divine appointment. Every delay is preparation for a greater manifestation. What you thought was the end is actually the beginning of a new story.
2. The God of Resurrection Power
Our God specializes in bringing life out of death. He raised Lazarus from the tomb, turned Joseph’s prison into a palace, and transformed Paul the persecutor into a preacher.
When life declares, “It’s over,” heaven responds, “Watch what I will do next!”
Resurrection power means that no situation is beyond recovery. As long as God is involved, there is hope beyond hopelessness.
3. Keep Believing, Keep Moving
Faith doesn’t quit when circumstances get hard. Faith keeps walking even when the path seems dark. The heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 endured trials, yet they obtained the promise because they refused to give up.
Whatever you are going through right now, keep believing. Keep praying. Keep obeying. Keep praising. Don’t stop moving forward. The God who started with you will finish gloriously with you.
4. The End Is Always Glory
Every true story written by God ends with glory. Job’s life ended with double restoration. Ruth’s sorrow ended with joy and a new lineage. Jesus’ crucifixion ended in resurrection and exaltation.
When it’s all said and done, your life will testify that God was faithful. Every pain will make sense in the light of His purpose. Every trial will become a testimony of grace.
Remember, the crown comes after the cross, and glory follows suffering. Hold on — your end will be better than your beginning.
5. Your Declaration
As you close this book, declare boldly:
“It’s not over for me. My God is still working. My story is not finished. I will rise again, shine again, and sing again. My end shall be glorious!”
Let this truth settle in your spirit: When God is in your life, no failure is final, no battle is permanent, and no ending is tragic.
Reflection
1. What promises of God do you need to hold on to in this season?
2. Where have you felt like giving up, and how can you reignite your faith again?
3. How can you be a voice of hope to others who believe it’s over for them?
