Who remembered is on our lowly state, For His mercy endures forever; And rescued us from our enemies, For His mercy endures forever;
Who gives food to all flesh, For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever.
Background Story for verse 5- Jeremiah 51:15-16 He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, And stretched out the heaven by His understanding. When He uttered His voice--
There is a multitude of waters in the heavens; 'He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain; He brings the winds out of Hos treasures."
Background Story for verse 7-Genesis 1:14-18 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years. “and let them be for lights In the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”, and it was so.

So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

We will not turn aside into field or vineyards; we will not drink water from wells. We will go by the King's Highway until we have passed through your territory."
But Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his territory. So Sihon gathered all his people together and went out against Israel in the wilderness, and he came to Jahaz and fought Israel.
