FOR ALL HAVE SINNED
By Treasure Ephraim
Text: 1 John 1:8 — “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
---
INTRODUCTION
Child of God, there is a wave of deception sweeping through the body of Christ today. Many are taught the power of salvation, but few are trained on the path of restoration. Many are told who they are in Christ, but not what to do when they fall.
Hear me! — The nature of man is sinful. When the spirit man is not constantly fed, the flesh begins to dominate. If you stop feeding your spirit, the carnal nature will resurrect.
We live in a world drowning in sin, chaos, and temptation — and yes, even those who once surrendered to Christ can find themselves struggling.
---
THE STRUGGLE WITHIN
Apostle Paul, one of the greatest vessels God ever used, opened his heart in Romans 7:15–21. He cried:
> “The good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.”
Even Paul recognized a war — the war between the flesh and the spirit. The sin nature is not destroyed by confession; it is subdued by submission!
Romans 7:23 says,
> “I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind…”
There is a war going on inside every believer — but glory be to God, victory is possible!
---
THE DELIVERANCE THROUGH CHRIST
Paul shouted in despair, “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from this body of death?” (Romans 7:24)
Then he answered in triumph —
> “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” (Romans 7:25)
Jesus is our escape! Jesus is our restoration! Jesus is the only one who cleanses and restores us when we fall.
---
YOU ARE NOT IMMUNE TO SIN
Hear this truth: being born again does not make you immune to sin — it gives you authority over sin!
That’s why the Word says:
1 Thessalonians 5:17 — “Pray without ceasing.”
Matthew 26:41 — “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
The Christian life is not a playground — it’s a battleground. You must stay on your knees to stay on your feet!
---
SIN IS A BARRIER
Romans 3:23 declares:
> “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Sin builds a wall between you and your Maker. Even Jesus, carrying the sin of the world, cried on the cross:
Matthew 27:46 — “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
If sin could make the Father turn His face from His own Son, how much more must we guard our hearts against it?
---
RESTORATION AND MERCY
But thank God for His mercy!
1 John 1:9 — “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
However, this is not a license to sin!
Romans 6:1–2 — “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid!”
Grace is not an excuse — it’s an empowerment! The grace of God teaches us to say “No” to sin.
---
WARNING TO THE CARELESS
Hebrews 10:26 warns:
> “If we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sin.”
Child of God, do not take the grace of God for granted. Every time you deliberately walk into sin, you open a door for the enemy to enslave your destiny.
---
ACKNOWLEDGING OUR FRAILTY
1 John 1:10 says,
> “If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar.”
Acknowledgment is the first step to restoration. Some sins we commit unknowingly — in thought, in word, or in silence — but every unconfessed sin hinders fellowship with God.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
Now lift your hands and declare with fire:
Father, have mercy upon me and cleanse me from every secret sin!
I receive grace to rise again when I fall!
Every chain of sin holding me down, break by the blood of Jesus!
I refuse to be a slave to my flesh — I walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh!
My spirit man is alive, active, and victorious in Christ Jesus!
No sin shall separate me from the presence of God!
--- RHEMA CITY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
ACTION POINT
1 Thessalonians 5:22 — “Abstain from all appearance of evil.”
Keep your fire burning. Stay in the Word. Watch and pray. Fellowship daily with the Holy Ghost.
You are not perfect — but you are being perfected by His Spirit!
--- Rhema City International Christian Center
FINAL DECLARATION
> “Lord, I yield myself to You.
I lay down every weakness at Your feet.
Let Your mercy speak for me.
Let Your Spirit empower me.
From today, sin shall no longer have dominion over me!
I am free, I am restored, I am redeemed — in Jesus’ mighty name! Amen.”
