Day 7 – Carrying the Cross Daily
“Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow Me.” — Luke 9:23
To the early disciples, the cross was not jewelry. It was death.
Jesus was not calling them to occasional devotion but daily dying — dying to self-will, self-rule, self-glory.
The cross is not the loss of life — it is the doorway to true life.
Carrying your cross daily means waking up and saying:
> “My life is not my own. My plans belong to You. My will is surrendered to Yours.”
Only when the self is crucified can the Spirit fully live through you.
Reflection
What part of me is Jesus asking to lay down on the altar today, so His life can rise in me?
Prayer
Jesus, today I pick up my cross with joy. Crucify in me every desire that is not from You, and resurrect Your purpose in my life. Amen.
