Many still lack understanding of the meaning, purpose, divine mission and role of what the CHURCH is, and God's plan.
I will be unraveling the scriptural meaning and mystery that should help every believer effectively reverence and fulfil our assignments.

𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔 𝗖𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗛

It's not a building or just mere place of worship as the world has made it seem.

There's a deeper mystery behind the meaning, purpose, mission and divine will.

Paul was one of the great apostles and missionaries that did great works establishing churches through Jesus, and started what has shifted to referencing buildings and names as churches outside the real meaning.

From the scriptural Unveiling:

The church is a family with one mission and purpose united through Jesus by the blood through the ultimate sacrifice on the cross.

In essence, the church is you and I, and there's a great purpose for establishing the church through Jesus Christ.

If you are born again and received Jesus, you're a great PIECE in the church.

And Jesus is the Head of the church housing every PIECE (you and I)

That's why the scripture calls us His MASTERPIECE: Ephesians 2:10

"𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚。 𝙃𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨❟ 𝙨𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙪𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙜𝙤."

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙆𝙅𝙑 𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙨... "𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥❟ 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨❟ 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢。 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙉𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙗𝙮 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙."

You and I are meant to to do the works collectively as a CHURCH, representing Jesus.

And Jesus speaking to Peter about the church in: Matthew 16:18 says...

"𝙉𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧 (𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨 ‘𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙠’)❟ 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙝❟ 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙩."

The word CHURCH never meant building, but every believer who was to accept Jesus and become His masterpiece; and that's you and I today.

Now, let's delve into the scriptures and see the establishment, purpose and real mystery into the meaning of the church. This should help you understand your role and calling in the mission.

𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗛:

Ephesians 2:12

"In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope.

Ephesians 2:13

But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.

Ephesians 2:14

For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.

Ephesians 2:15

He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups.

Ephesians 2:16

Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.

Ephesians 2:17

He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near.

Ephesians 2:18

Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

Ephesians 2:19

So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.

Ephesians 2:20

Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.

Ephesians 2:21

We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.

Ephesians 2:22

Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit."

~~~~
Verse 20 above says it all: Together, we are his house... And Jesus is the cornerstone.
Verse 21 also says: we are carefully joined together... Becoming a holy temple.
Verse 22 crowns it: Through him... We're made part of the dwelling where God lives by his spirit.
_____________
A building as tagged church today is simply an altar of worship not the scriptural CHURCH.
Sadly, many reverence buildings as church and value it more than human souls (you and me) which is the CHURCH that God dwells.
Ephesians 3:6
"And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 3:7
By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.
Ephesians 3:8
Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.
Ephesians 3:9
I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.
Ephesians 3:10
God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 3:11
This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ephesians 3:12
Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.
Ephesians 3:13
So please don’t lose heart because of my trials here. I am suffering for you, so you should feel honored.
Ephesians 3:14
When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,
Ephesians 3:15
the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.
Ephesians 3:16
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.
Ephesians 3:17
Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
Ephesians 3:18
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
Ephesians 3:19
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Ephesians 3:20
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Ephesians 3:21
Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen."
Powerfully! The mystery of God's plan for the CHURCH (You and I) has been unraveled in the scriptures above according to the revelations Paul gave.
Ephesians 3:10 above says... "God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places."
And Ephesians 3:11 crowns it all... "This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord."
We call see the plan wasn't referring to the CHURCH as a building which God was to use to display and show His wisdom in all variety. He was referring to you and I as believers.
Once again, you now know and understand the CHURCH isn't the building you go everyday. And the works/plans of God is to be done through you.
You and I bears the responsibility to share the gospel and good news to save others through the promises and plans of God just as Paul said in Ephesians 3:7-8.
So, it's time the new generation understands our place as a church, place primary importance and reverence on believers as the CHURCH more than they do on buildings.
More so, invest efforts and purpose in fulfilling the mandate of sharing the good news and victory of Jesus. Altogether, we are the church, and must continually work in unity as a family not in competition through denomination and building titles.
