Seeing With Eyes of Faith

Scripture

Numbers 13:30 (NKJV)
Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.

Courage to Believe

In this verse, twelve spies returned from scouting the Promised Land. Ten focused on the giants and obstacles, but Caleb saw something greater—God’s promise. While others spread fear, Caleb stood in faith and declared that they were able to overcome, not because of their strength but because of God’s faithfulness.

For believers today, this verse challenges us to see through eyes of faith rather than fear. When faced with challenges, it is easy to focus on the giants in front of us—problems, limitations, or uncertainty. But faith looks higher. Faith remembers that God’s power is greater than any obstacle and that His promises never fail.

Caleb’s boldness came from trusting God completely. When fear says, “We can’t,” faith declares, “God can.”

Reflection Questions

1. When I face difficulties, do I see the problem or the promise?

2. What “giants” in my life am I allowing to weaken my faith?

3. How can I strengthen my trust in God’s ability to overcome every obstacle?

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for Your faithfulness and power. Help me to face challenges with courage and confidence in You. Teach me to see through eyes of faith, trusting that You are greater than anything that stands before me. In Jesus name, Amen.
