This is from my Scripture reading this morning from the bon of Mark and comments by me.

Mark 2:21-22 KJV
[21]No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.
[22] And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

Most of us know this scripture but its more then what you read, it means that old garments ( our old self or our old hearts) and new clothes (the word of God to a new beliver) or new wine )the newness of our hearts) in old wine skins (our old hearts). When we first receive Christ we need to put away old habits and our old ways so we can receive and soak up the word of God. And so they won't destroy all that we have received and what we have learned from our new found love for Christ Jesus. We need to as they say to 'clean house" and get rid of our old self and stay in the word of God daily.
