Been doing a study on the book of Hosea. There's a statement here that's really profound. It said "Silence is required for deep change to occur. Once we are silent, it is possible for us to look into God's eyes and discover His response."
They're talking about when we sin intentionally. This person goes on to say, "We anticipate fury, yet what we find is fondness; we expect, at least, cool indifference in light of our disregard of Him and our anger, yet what we discover is His passionate joy at our return to a relationship with Him."
And then this is the most profound for me: " God's disruptive and scandalous response to our hatred transforms fury into gratitude and deadness into life." This is from a book called Bold Love page 66 written by Dan Allender and Tremper Longman III.
