OBEDIENCE IS WORTH IT
"The Lord said to Joshua, 'Look, I have handed Jericho, its king, and its best soldiers over to you.'" – Joshua 6:2 (CSB)
Notice the past tense of that verse. Jericho had not even been defeated, yet the Lord had already given Joshua and the people of Israel the victory.
The real battle wasn't with the Canaanites in Jericho. It was in the hearts of the Israelites. Would they believe God? Would they obey His Word and walk around the walls of Jericho, even though it didn't make sense?
Obedience may not always seem like the fun option, but it is always worth it. And as you do what the Word of God says, He's going to be faithful to His promises.
Sometimes God's instructions don't make sense to our natural minds, but when we obey anyway, we position ourselves for His supernatural breakthrough.
Obedience may not always seem fun, but it is always worth it.
What is God asking you to obey that doesn't make complete sense yet? How can you trust God's faithfulness when His instructions seem unusual?
