The True Treasure: Not Money, But Love

The world teaches us that happiness and peace lie in money. We work hard, earn, and often forget that money is just a means, not the ultimate goal. The Bible clearly says:
“The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.” (1 Timothy 6:10)

Having money is not a sin, but when love for money takes the place of your heart, a person cannot truly love God. Jesus Christ said that it is as difficult as a camel passing through the eye of a needle. A heart fixed on money finds it very hard to grow spiritually and walk in truth.

Loving other people is also important, but remember, not every person is perfect, and not every heart is pure:
“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44)

True guidance and peace come from love for those who walk in God’s ways. These are the people who are faithful, servants of God, or follow the path of His teachings. They guide us in righteousness, truth, and spiritual strength:
“If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ yet hates his brother, he is a liar.” (1 John 4:20)

The Lord also teaches us not to store treasures on earth, but to store them in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy:
“Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (Matthew 6:19-20)

True happiness and peace come from helping others. Care for your Christian brothers and sisters who are suffering, sick, or in need. Remember, life is short; everyone dies, everyone leaves this world. What use is money then? The true value lies in love, service, and bringing joy to others.

In summary: Keep money, but do not let the love of money rule your heart. Learn goodness from people, and help your Christian brothers and sisters to enlighten your soul. This is the love that fills the heart and earns God’s favor.
