Series: Glory
Scripture:
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)
Reflection:
Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought — “Is this really who I’m becoming?”
Maybe life feels like it’s changing you in ways you didn’t expect.
But here’s the truth — you are meant to be transformed, not by life’s chaos, but by God’s glory.
Paul reveals a secret here: we are changed by what we behold.
The more we fix our eyes on the Lord’s glory, the more we become like Him.
Pause and ask yourself:
What am I beholding daily — problems or His presence?
What occupies my attention — fear or faith?
Whatever you behold, you become.
If you keep your gaze on God, His Spirit keeps shaping you — not in one sudden moment, but from glory to glory.
That means every season of your life carries another layer of transformation.
You may not notice it right away, but the Spirit is at work, polishing, refining, and beautifying your soul.
Your growth may feel slow, but it’s steady — and it’s sacred.
Think about it — Moses’ face shone after he spent time with God.
So what about you? What could your life radiate if you daily gazed upon His glory in prayer, in Word, in worship?
1. Transformation Begins with Focus
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.” — Hebrews 12:2
The direction of your gaze determines the direction of your growth.
2. Glory Is a Journey, Not a Destination
“The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” — Proverbs 4:18
You’re not stuck — you’re moving from one level of glory to another.
3. The Spirit Is the Sculptor
“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord.” — Zechariah 4:6
Real transformation doesn’t come by striving but by surrendering to the Spirit’s work.
Say this:
“I am being transformed daily by the glory of the Lord.
As I behold Him, I become like Him.
Every day, I’m moving from glory to glory — by His Spirit, not my strength.
His presence is changing me from the inside out.”
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the privilege of beholding Your glory.
Help me to fix my eyes on You, not on the distractions around me.
As I spend time in Your presence, transform me into Your likeness.
Let Your Spirit continue to mold me from glory to glory, until my life fully reflects Your image.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Today:
Take 10 quiet minutes today to simply behold God — in worship, silence, or reading His Word.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal a new dimension of Christ’s beauty to you.
Then write down one way you feel He’s changing you this season.
Final Thought:
Transformation isn’t about striving harder — it’s about seeing clearer.
The more you behold Him, the more you become like Him.
Stay in His presence; glory is growing in you daily.
