Life’s Table of Purpose Her words pierced my heart: "Life is too short to sit anywhere other than where you are supposed to be. And if you sit at a table where you feel like you’re being fed—even when you came bringing food—politely just leave." Sometimes God allows us to sit at certain tables only for a season—to serve, to give, to learn humility. But when that table begins to drain rather than nourish your soul, it’s okay to quietly rise and walk toward where God has prepared your place. Life is sacred and short. Don’t waste it in spaces that starve your spirit or silence your worth. Even Jesus knew when to leave a table—He walked away from places where hearts were closed to truth and love (Matthew 10:14). God calls each of us to our table—the one He sets before us in the presence of our enemies (Psalm 23:5), the table of purpose, peace, and divine assignment.
