Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Winter is creeping in, I do believe. The darker mornings and cooler temperatures, sure seems like it is here. My She shed is nearing completion. What we thought would be a weekend project has turned into a several weekends project. However, the friends that have been helping got the carpet in yesterday. Trim will be today and furniture after church. Complications and hurdles to tackle were because of the imperfections in the original build. Since it was done primarily by 15-year-olds and younger … imperfections are expected. What it was built for in the beginning, those imperfections did not matter. Now that its purpose has changed … those imperfections had to be dealt with. It was always meant to be a shed, but there is a difference between a ‘storage’ shed and one in which you plan to spend prayerful time in.

Much like our lives in general. We were always purposed to live for God, however, in the beginning our imperfections were those areas that were to be dealt with over time to improve our storage capacity and time management skills for prayerful time with Him.

Before assembly, the material purchases were as perfect as they could be. Like pieces to a puzzle. As the Boy Scouts put the puzzle together, measurements and cuts were … well … not square and precise. Part of the learning process. When puzzle was completely assembled, it was a beautiful weather sound storage container for baseball supplies. As we acquired the shed and moved it to our property, some of the not so important imperfections of the original build, compounded with the rough move to our land and seemingly even more issues were created. However, the new round of puzzle pieces have been used to construct a habitat for prayer meditation, creative writing, and a quiet space for just me and my God.

In my home or car, I have a buzzing in my ears like an old AM radio, but when I am in the shed, even now before it is completed, my ears are silenced.

As you worship with Him today, I encourage you to reflect on the areas in your life in which you can plainly see the previous imperfections and then clearly see the improvements He has made. As those areas come clearer to you, give thanks.

Be blessed today my friends.
