Great Examples of Faith

Hebrews 11:1 Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

Romans 8:24-25 We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don't need to hope for it.

But if we look forward to something we don't yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)

Faith Brings Joy

Romans 5:1-5 Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.

Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.

And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Ephesians 2:18-19 Now all of us can come to the father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

A Temple for the Lord

So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God's holy people. You are members of God's family.

Ephesians 3:8-13 Though I am the least deserving of all God's people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about he endless treasures available to them in Christ

I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.

God's purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

This is his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God's presence.

So please don't lose heart because of my trials here. I am suffering for you, so your should feel honored.
