saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance Exploring RSV
1 Timothy 1:15-16 This saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the foremost of sinners;
but I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience for an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.
1 Timothy 4:9-10 The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance.
For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
2 Timothy 2:11-13 The saying is sure; If we have died with him, we shall also live with him;
if we endure, we shall also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us;
if we are faithless, he remains faithful--for he cannot deny himself.
Titus 3:8-11 The saying is sure, I desire you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to apply themselves to good deeds; these are excellent and profitable to men.
But avoid stupid controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels over the law, for they are unprofitable and futile.
As for a man who is factious, after admonishing him once or twice, have nothing more to do with him,
knowing that such a person is perverted and sinful; he is self-condemned.
