Day 16 – The Potter’s Hands

“But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.” — Jeremiah 18:4

Discipleship isn’t just learning from Jesus — it’s being shaped by Him.

Jeremiah stood in the potter’s house and watched clay collapse under pressure.
It wasn’t failure; it was formation.
The potter didn’t discard it. He reworked it. Patiently. Purposefully.

That’s what God does with us.
He takes marred hearts, weary minds, and stubborn wills, and keeps molding until our lives reflect His design.

Every pressure, every spin, every stretch — it’s all part of His shaping.
Because a disciple’s life is meant to hold something: His presence, His truth, His purpose.

You are clay in the Potter’s hands — and those hands never lose their grip.

Reflection
Where is God reshaping me so that I can better carry His purpose?

Prayer
Lord, shape me until I look like You.
Where I’ve hardened, soften me.
Where I’ve cracked, restore me.
Make me a vessel fit to carry Your presence into the world. Amen.
