John 21:24-25 Exploring RSV

John 21:24-25 This is the disciple who is bearing witness to these things, and who has written these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

But there are also many other things which Jesus did; were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

John 15:26-27 But when the counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness to me;

and you also are witnesses, because you have been with me from the beginning.

John 19:31-37 Since it was the day of Preparation, in order to prevent the bodies from remaining on the cross on the sabbath (for that sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who had been crucified with him;

but when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.

But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water.

He who saw it has borne witness--his testimony is true, and he knows that he tells the truth--that you also may believe.

For these things took place that the scripture might be fulfilled,

"Not a bone of him shall be broken ."

and again another scripture says, "They shall look on him whom they have pierced."

John 20:30-31 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not  written in this book;

but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:17-21 For when he received honor and glory from God the Father and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory,

This is my beloved Son, with whom  I am well pleased,"

we heard this voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain.

and we have the prophetic word made more sure. You will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a mater of one's own interpretation,

because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

John 2:11-12 This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Ca'na in Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

After this he went down to Ca-per' na-um, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples; and there they stayed for a few days.

John 3:1-2 Now these was a man of the Phar'i-sees, named Nic-o-de'-mus, a ruler of the Jews.

This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him."
