John 1:9-13 Exploring KJV
John 1:9-13 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
He came unto his own, and his own receive him not.
But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name;
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Isaiah 49:5-6 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Ja'-cob again to him, Though Is'-ra-el be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Ja'-cob, and to restore the preserved of Is'-ra-el; I will also give thee for a light to the Gen'-tiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
John 1:3-4 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 19:5-16 Then came Je'-sus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pi'-late saith unto them, Behold the man!
When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pi'-late saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him; for I find no fault in him.
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself to Son of God.
When Pi'-late therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;
And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Je'-sus Whence art thou? But Je'-sus gave him no answer.
Then saith Pi'-late unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? Knoweth thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
Je'-sus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above; therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
And from thenceforth Pi'-late sought to release him; but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Cae'-sar's friend; whosoever maketh himself a king speakest against Cae'-sar.
When Pi'-late therefore heard that saying, he brought Je'-sus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the He'-brew, Gab'-ba-tha.
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour; and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him, Pi'late saith unto unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cae'-sar.
Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Je'-sus, and led him away.
1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God; therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not,
John 3:1-8 There was a man of the Phar'-i-ses, named Nic-o-de'-mus, a ruler of the Jews;
The same came to Je'-sus by night, and said unto him, Rab'-bi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no man cane do these miracles that thou dost, except God be with him,
Je'-sus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nic-o-de'-mus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Je'-sus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto them Ye must be born again.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and wither it goeth; so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
