THE ADVENT TRUTH
The war in Israel and Gaza grips the world’s attention — but prophecy shows us it’s not the center of God’s final plan. Scripture never predicted a modern Israeli nation fighting over land in the Middle East. That idea comes from dispensational theology, not the Bible. According to Daniel 9:24–27, God gave Israel a prophetic probationary period of 490 years (70 weeks) to finish their transgression and accept the Messiah. That time began with the command to rebuild Jerusalem in 457 BC and ended in 34 AD, when the Jewish leaders officially rejected Christ by stoning Stephen.
At that point, the covenant promises passed to spiritual Israel — those who accept Christ by faith (Galatians 3:28–29). Paul wrote that “he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly… but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly” (Romans 2:28–29). There aren’t two groups of God’s people — one earthly (Israel) and one heavenly (the Church). There is only one body, one faith, and one Lord (Ephesians 4:4–6).
So when people look to Gaza, Hamas, or political Israel as signs of the end, they’re being distracted from the true crisis that’s coming — the global test of worship, the mark of the beast, and the final conflict between God’s law and man’s. Satan uses Middle East turmoil to stir fear and fascination while the world ignores the real spiritual battle happening in hearts right now.
Jesus didn’t tell us to watch for political peace in Jerusalem; He said to “watch” our own lives, that we be not deceived (Luke 21:8). Prophecy points not to earthly borders, but to a worldwide movement preparing for Christ’s return.
Don’t be distracted by smoke and headlines. The real battleground isn’t Israel — it’s your heart.
