Day 17 тАУ Broken Bread, Poured Wine
Core Verse: тАЬAnd He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, тАШThis is My body given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.тАЩ тАж тАШThis cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.тАЩ тАФ Luke 22:19-20
Devotional Reflection
Discipleship is not about comfort тАФ it is about communion.
To follow Christ is to share in His breaking and His pouring.
He did not merely teach love; He became love тАФ broken and spilled so that others could be made whole.
Every time the bread is broken, we remember: transformation costs something.
Every time the cup is poured, we are reminded: purpose requires surrender.
The bread was once whole. The wine once rested safely within the grape.
Yet both were crushed to release life.
In the same way, the disciple must allow God to break pride, self-will, and comfort so that what flows out is grace, not grievance.
To be poured out is not to lose; it is to love like He did тАФ freely, completely, without reservation.
When you serve, forgive, or love those who wound you, you live the gospel тАФ
you become broken bread in His hands, poured wine in His purpose.
---
Reflection Prompt
> Lord, make my life a table where others can taste Your goodness.
Break me where I need to be humbled, and pour me where love needs to flow.
