Romans 3:1-3 Exploring NASB

Romans 3:1-3 Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the benefit of circumcision?

Great in every respect. First of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?

Honor Authority

1 Peter 2:13-17 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,

or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right.

For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.

Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.

Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.

Tribute to Caesar

Matthew 22:15-22 Then the Pharisees went and plotted together how they might trap Him in what He said.

And they sent their disciples to Him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and defer to no one; for You are not partial to any.

Tell us then, what do You think? Is it lawful to give a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?”

But Jesus perceived their malice, and said, “Why are you testing Me, you hypocrites?

Show Me the coin used for the poll-tax.” And they brought Him a denarius.

And He said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?”

They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” Then He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s.”

And hearing this, they were amazed, and leaving Him, they went away.

Titus 3:1-2 Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed,

to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.
