Romans 15:1-7 Exploring RSV
Romans 15:1-7 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves;
let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to edify him.
For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, "The reproaches of those who reproached thee fell on me."
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that by steadfastness and by they encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,
that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Welcome one another, therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
Galatians 6:1-2 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Look to yourself, lest you too be tempted.
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:14 And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.
1 Corinthians 9:19-23 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, that I might win the more.
To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews; to those under the law I became as one under the law--though not being myself under the law--'that I might win those under the law.
To those outside the law I became as one outside the law--not being without law toward God but under the law of Christ--that I might win those outside the law.
To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.
1 Corinthians 10:11 Now these things happened to them as a warning, but they were written down for our instruction, upon whom the end of the ages has come.
2 Corinthians 13:9 For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. What we pray for is your improvement.
Psalm 69:8-9 I have become a stranger to my brethren, and alien to my mother's sons.
For zeal for thy house has consumed me, and the insults of those who insult thee have fallen on me.
Philippians 2:1-2 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any incentive of love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,
complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God.
Romans 14:1-3 As for the man who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not for disputes over opinions.
One believes he may eat anything, while the weak man eats only vegetables.
Let not him who eats despise him who abstains, and let not him who abstains pass judgment on him who eats, for God has welcomed him.
