Heavenly Father,
We come before You this Thankful Thursday morning with hearts full of praise and gratitude. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of a new day — a fresh start filled with Your mercy and love. Your Word declares, “This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24). So today, we choose joy, we choose thankfulness, and we choose to lift our eyes to You, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
Lord, we thank You for waking us up clothed in our right minds. Thank You for breath in our bodies, strength in our limbs, and peace in our souls. Your Word reminds us in Lamentations 3:22–23, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” Thank You for being faithful even when we fall short.
Father, on this Thankful Thursday, we pause to reflect on Your goodness. You have provided when we didn’t see a way, healed us when we were broken, and comforted us when we were in pain. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We thank You for Your protection over our families, our homes, our jobs, and our communities.
Lord, help us to live today with grateful hearts. Let thankfulness flow from our lips and actions. Teach us to count our blessings, not our burdens. As 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” May gratitude open the door for greater peace, deeper faith, and renewed strength.
We thank You for the promises in Your Word — that “all things work together for good to them that love God” (Romans 8:28). Even when we don’t understand the “why,” we trust the “Who.” You are working behind the scenes for our good and Your glory.
Today, we walk in confidence knowing that “He who began a good work in us will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6). Thank You, Lord, for never giving up on us.
Father, bless this day. Go before us and make every crooked path straight. Fill our hearts with joy and our mouths with praise. Let Your light shine through us so that others may see Your goodness and glorify Your name.
In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name,
Amen.
