Romans 3:5-6 Exploring NKJV
Romans 3:5-6 But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? ( I speak as a man.)
Certainly not! For then how will God judge the world?
Romans 1:18-21 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
1 Thessalonians 1:8-10 For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.
For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,
and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans,
who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men,
forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who died for us, that whether we wake of sleep, we should live together with Him.
Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
Genesis 18:22-33 Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD.
and Abraham came near and said, "Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
"Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it?
"Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"
So the LORD said, "If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes."
Then Abraham answered and said, "Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord.
"Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would you destroy all of the city for lack of five?" So he said, "If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it."
And he spoke to him yet again and said, "Suppose there should be forty found there?" So he said, "I will not do it for the sake of forty."
Then he said, "Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak; suppose thirty should be found there?" So he said, "I will not do it if I find thirty there."
And he said, "Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?" So He said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.
Then he said, "Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more; suppose then should be found there?" And he said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of ten."
So the LORD went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.
